The third edition of the Championship will take place between March 5 and April 16 as 28 tertiary institutions will compete against each other for a chance to annex the ultimate tertiary basketball trophy in Ghana.

Ahead of the 10 week-long tournament, team leader Quarshie and his teammates are really looking forward to Zone C’s tip off day on March 11. He said:

“UPAC is a great platform to advertise ourselves as a school and as a team. It’s a nice initiative to promote basketball in the country and to unearth talents”.

“ The UNER team is preparing very hard towards this tournament correcting a few mistakes, working on both defense and offense as a team” he responded when asked how his team is primed for a major basketball action.

UNER will play in zone C against Sunyani Nurses Training School, Catholic University College and Berekum College of Education.

The 2016 edition of UPAC is headlined by Rexona-renowned deodorant brand Rexona and supported by CAL Bank, Fanyogo and MTN in partnership with media outlets including TV3, Y FM and Basketballghana.com and Graphic Sports.
