Accra Polytechnic is no longer a favourite to make the quarter finals of the Universities, Polytechnics and Colleges (UPAC) Basketball Championship according to Blue crest College head coach Kofi Agyemang Kwarteng.

Accra Polytechnic made it out of Zone F in the 2016 UPAC Championship after beating Zenith University College, Valley View University and Blue Crest College. The team secured a third straight quarter final appearance by topping the Zone.

Speaking to Basketballghana.com after his side lost 23-27 to Accra Polytechnic in a highly entertaining final game, Kwarteng was very sure of Accra Poly’s impending implosion. He said:

“I think Accra Poly should get it out of their head that they are always going to qualify from this zone because from what we gave them today, we really gave them a run for their money. I am sure they are going to think twice when they hear Blue Crest is part of their zone.”
