Day two of 2016 Universities, Polytechnics and Colleges (UPAC) Basketball Championship quarter finals is set to begin at the University of Ghana on the back of a impressive Day One held at Accra Polytechnic.

Group B winners on Day One, Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) and Takoradi Polytechnic will play out what is set to be an intriguing game for top spot in the group. On Court 2, Marshalls University College will engage debutants University of Energy and Natural Resources in a must win game for both teams.

In Group A, hosts University of Ghana will take on two-time winners Accra Polytechnic in a headline game that pitches the reigning GUSA (Ghana Universities Sports Association) Basketball Champions with Accra Poly who recorded the biggest win so far in the tournament. The defending champions walloped Valley View University 81-22.

A matchup between star Shooting Guards Abdul Mutaleeb Alhassan of Accra Polytechnic and Emmanuel Wolff of University of Ghana headlines a game that is sure to produce loads of fireworks.

Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA) takes on Valley View in another must win game for both sides as they seek to extend their respective lives in the Championship.

The 2016 UPAC Championship is headlined by Rexona, supported by MTN, CAL Bank and Fanyogo in partnership with Basketballghana.com, Y FM, TV3 and Ghana Sports Newspaper.
