Chief Executive Officer of Prolific Sports Kenny Andam has noted his agency’s presence in Ghana is to identify and develop talented athletes by enrolling them in prestigious tertiary institutions in the United States.

He made the statement in an interview with Basketballghana.com in the aftermath of his guest appearance on premium basketball show “Fast Break” which airs on Ghanaian television channel TV3 alongside San Antonio Spurs Forward David West.

Andam, a former standout long jumper, singled out the main reason behind David West’s second visit to the country was to develop talents. He said:

“David on the first visit enjoyed Ghana so much and we hosted a discussion about coming home and develop the sports environment with Prolific Sports so the focus of this visit is to…launch Prolific Sports, look at some of the talent we are working with locally at the high school level to see how best we can get them into college or the younger generation from the primary level to see how best we can get them into high school”.

“We will put them under a development program that David (West) and his team are building in North Carolina so the greatest focus is to identify basketball talent, identify soccer talent as well as track and field and other sporting disciplines.”

The entourage will tour some parts of the country including the southern port city of Sekondi-Takoradi.
