The Male and Female sides of Braves of Customs and Adenta Leopards are cruising in the Accra Basketball League (ABL) league standings following the previous round of games in all divisions.
The Men’s Division I has Braves attached to the summit with 10 points and having recorded no losses in five games played thus far in the season. The perennial champions also hold a massive 169 points in goal difference. Tema Youth stay in second place with nine points after four wins and a loss in five games.
The only unbeaten side aside Braves in the division is Fire Service who have registered a perfect three wins in three games. However, Fire sits sixth in the standings having played two games less than the top two ranked teams.
Leopards unbeaten streak of four wins puts the Adenta side’s march to Division I right on course. Leopards have been breathtakingly good in Division II as the well stocked side has obliterated all before them to eight points.
In the women’s division, Air Force’ 51-59 wobble against Reformers effectively makes the divisional title, Braves to lose. The loss against Reformers was Air Force’s second of the season which puts them in second place with 10 points despite playing a game more than Braves.
Both sides will be in action later today at the Lebanon House Court in Tudu, Accra. Air Force will take on Fire Service at 15:00 GMT before Braves takes on the winless Navy side.
