Consistent postponement of late games in the Accra Basketball League Men’s Division is holding the season’s progression back and has unsurprisingly irked some individuals.

In the latest round of games played in the division, league leaders Braves of Customs games against Tudu Magic was postponed by officials to a yet to be named date. This follows a similar incident in Fire Service game against Magic the week prior at the Lebanon House Court in Tudu.

Per reports gathered by Basketballghana.com, postponing Braves game against Magic was down to referees’ inability to see well on the poorly lighted court.

Magic trainer and 2016 Ghana Basketball Award Coach of the Year nominee James Okine was not too pleased with the decision as his side has had two straight games called off in as many weeks.

DC Dynamics Coach Feranmi Olulonyo is another displeased trainer who has not been happy with recent happenings in the league. Earlier in the season, games had to be postponed due to flooded courts as heavy rains inundated much of Ghana.

Coupled with recent postponements, positions in the standings are not clear as teams like Tema Youth have played as many as eight games whereas Magic and Fire Service have played half those games.
