The Accra Basketball League Women’s Division will continue later today at the Prisons Court in Cantonments when Air Force takes on Navy in the first of two games with Fire Service taking on home side Reformers of Prisons.

Air Force will be in the hunt to reclaim its second spot in the standings after falling behind league leaders Braves of Customs and Galaxy following their absence in the last round of games. Air Force will be heavily favored to win the duel as Navy head into the fixture with no wins in seven games.

However, Navy Coach Alexander Tindani remains optimistic his rebuilding side will come to the fore and deliver wins soon.

Reformers on the other hand, will be looking to bounce back from ruing missed opportunities in the 31-32 loss to Galaxy in the previous week against a Fire Service side with just a win in eight games. The home side had a two game winning run cut short in the process in a game key backup Guard Juliana Cudjoe missed.

Fire Service as always will look up to 2016 Ghana Basketball Awards Female Player of the Year nominee Carlyn Adjei for dazzling offensive skills and tough defense. The Awards will take place at the Best Western Premier Hotel in Accra on August 12.
