Navy Coach Alexander Tindani has made a bold declamation his side will not end the Accra Basketball League Women’s Division season bottom in the standings. He made the statement in the aftermath of Navy’s 37-48 loss to Air Force at the Prisons Court.

Coach Tindani was optimistic despite the latest loss condemning his side to an eight straight loss for the season.

“We are not going to be last you will see. We are not be going to be last. We will beat Fire Service and rank higher than them because we have a better goal difference than them” he said in an interview with Basketballghana.com

Navy sits bottom of the six team standings with just eight points and are two points adrift fifth place team Fire Service whose solitary win of the season puts them ahead of the winless Navy side.

That win happened in the first round via a close game against Navy.

Should Navy beat Fire on Thursday August 11, Navy will replace Fire in fifth position as the side holds a 58 goal difference over Fire.

The season has been disappointing for Navy who have played well most parts of the season but have consistently fell short at crucial moments in games that have cost the side.
