After blaming the league board for being the reason behind for postponing the Accra Basketball League Men’s Division I game between Fire Service and Braves of Customs, Fire Coach Ralph Ahadzi has stated postponing games is “driving” his team back.

The game was postponed for a second time this season after scheduling conflicts forced referees to abandon the game. Per reports gathered by Basketballghana.com, the officials were not prepared to call the game late in the night which was the rationale behind the early tipoff time-15:00 GMT.

“Is very bad, it is driving us back because the league (regular season) has to end somewhere in the middle of this month (August) and the postponement is not helping us at all, it’s not helping us” he said in an exclusive interview with Basketballghana.com after the game was called off.

The regular season was scheduled to end on August 12 but consistent postponement of games means the season is far from over as post season games are yet to be played. Fire Service first go around with Braves was called off due to heavy that hit most parts of Ghana in June.

Navy beat Holy Family 53-47 and Tudu Magic beat Teshie Rangers 60-46 in games that did take place at the Lebanon House Court.
