Accra Basketball League Men’s Division I outfit Teshie Rangers has ended its’ maiden regular season in the top division with a heavy loss to Braves of Customs.

The 36-100 wipeout came in the side’s final game of the regular season in an outstanding game which was set to take place over the weekend but got postponed.

Finishing the season with just two wins from nine games played, Rangers has qualified for the playoffs as the eight seed set to face the first seed which at the moment is Tema Youth. Speaking to Basketballghana.com regarding the concluded season, Rangers Coach Wisdom Etsorgali said:

“For us coming into D I (Division I) was something dreamt of and we thank God it did happen. It’s unfortunate we only won two games in the whole season but in all we are grateful that we are still in D I. We are looking forward to the playoffs… we are ready to go”.

Rangers made a lightning quick start to life in the upper division by recording two wins in three games early in the season before falling off course with six straight losses to end the season ahead of Holy Family and Air Force who drop to Division II.

Braves on the other hand have won all seven games played this season.
