Global Sporting Projects (GSP) Basketball League is set to resume on Saturday October 8 with a new venue to honor games at the behest of the resumption.

Sunyani Polytechnic’s Basketball Court will on Saturday, host four games with defending champions Suncity Braves taking on West Siders at 8:30 am.

Originally, Eusbett Hotel’s Basketball Court was chosen to host the games but after the games postponement due to a sizable number of teams competing in the league’s failure to register new players in time for the games, Sunyani’s court will play host to eight teams.

The court will be used with Eusbett’s and University of Energy and Natural Resources (UENR) courts in the course of the season. After the opening round tipped off on April 30, the league based in Ghana’s Brong-Ahafo regional capital, Sunyani, halted proceedings to attend to pertinent matters.

LIR will take on Barracks Scorpions as UENR plays Catholic University College, Ghana before host Sunyani Polytechnic squares up against Desert Rabbits in the remaining games in the round. The extended period for registering players will be officially closed at 18:00 GMT today.
