The fifth year anniversary recognition of the demise of Accra Basketball League (ABL) and Ghana Basketball Great Matthias Ocloo is to be observed on Saturday, April 30 Basketballghana.com can confirm.
Former St. Joseph’s CYO Basketball Coach, Ghana National Female Basketball Team Coach and Basketball Referee Association Head Ocloo passed away in 2017 after a long term battle with illness.
The departed Basketball savant Ocloo played a pivotal role in the lives of several individual engaged in the sport of basketball in Ghana and outside the sport.
A special mass will be held between 6:15-7:00 AM in his memory at the Holy Spirit Cathedral and visitation to his tomb at the Osu Cemetery between 7:00-7:30 AM.
Veterans of the CYO Female Basketball Team is scheduled to play a friendly game against ABL Referees as part of a string of activities to celebrate one of the founders of the ABL.
