Seasoned Broadcaster and Host of basketball television show “Courtside”, Yaw Sakyi Afari has doled out huge compliments to Ghanaian channel Viasat 1 for telecasting live NBA games in the country.

The channel acquired exclusive rights to show games in the West African country prior to the start of the 2016-2017 season of the world’s best basketball league.

Speaking during the launch of Courtside earlier today at the channel’s studios, Afari was ecstatic about the new two hour program that will air on Sundays between 14:00 and 16:00 GMT before showering channel management for acquiring the rights.

“For me, it’s such a credit to Viasat 1 acquiring this platform. NBA is the most respected in terms of basketball brands in the world…so if you have such a product in Ghana it’s fantastic and a plus to Viasat 1 so we are very excited about it” he said.

Afari was joined by Ghana Basketball Association Chairman David Addo Ashong and channel Acting Chief Executive Officer Richmond Sey on during the launch. Celebrated pundits who will make appearances on the show including DC Dynamics Coach Feranmi Olulonyo and Patrick Akoto were present in the studio to join in the activity.
