bentil-jGhana’s Ben Bentil has not featured for Chinese Basketball League side Xinjiang Guanghui Flying Tigers two recent games and as the side prepares to play Jiangsu Nagang in the second game of the New Year, failing to make the roster could spell trouble considering there is no official statement of an injury.

The versatile Forward has not played in wins over Zhejiang Chouzhou Golden Bulls and Jiangsu Tong Xi, missing the game against Nagang later today will mark the third straight game the sharpshooting Forward has missed in the league.

Perhaps more worrying for Ghana’s first ever indigenous player to be drafted into the NBA, is the presence of former Washington Wizards Forward Andray Blatche’s return from injury.

Blatche’s injury opened a spot for Bentil on the team after his move from NBA D-League side Fort Wayne Mad Ants.

He was drafted 51st by Boston Celtics in the 2016 NBA Draft.

Bentil is averaging 13.7 points, 4.8 rebounds and 1.0 steals in 11 games for the Flying Tigers who sit fourth in the Chinese League standings with 19 wins and five losses.
