Basketballghana.com can confirm no Ghanaian player has been included in the 15 player African representation at this year’s Basketball Without Borders Camp to be held in New Orleans ahead of the NBA All-Star Game.

Male and female players from other African countries got call ups to the prestigious camp that will have representatives from other continents feature as well.

However, no player from the fast rising West African nation got a call up whereas the likes of Mali and Angola dominate the roster. Mali has four players and Angola follows with three call ups.

67 players have been called up to the camp and NBA players with ties to the African continent including Cheick Diallo of New Orleans Pelicans, Thon Maker of Milwaukee Bucks and Emmanuel Mudiay of Denver Nuggets will be part of a coaching team to take participants through several drills.

Toronto Raptors General Manager Masai Ujiri who is synonymous with the Giants of Africa Program has been appointed Camp Director.

All invited participants will have access to events at the NBA All Star Weekend including the BBVA Compass Rising Stars Challenge, State Farm NBA All-Star Saturday Night, and the 66th NBA All-Star Game which takes place on February 20.
