Reigning Tema Community Basketball League Champions Nungua Champions has made a triumphant start to the 2017 season as a three game winning run has qualified the side to the quarterfinals of the league’s preseason competition dubbed Campaign Tournament.

The side beat Community 2 46-14 in Group A’s final to emerge winners.

Coldstore tipped off the competition by beating host team Community 4 and Korle-Bu Kings in the opening games before delivering an equally impressive win over Community 2.

With new recruit Joseph Boye in fine form, the side waltzed its way through a visibly tired opposition.
