Dzorvor throws down slam.

Tema Heat Center Gershon Kurt Dzorvor is set to miss two weeks to a head injury.

The springy Center sustained a deep cut on his temple during Heat’s Group B opening game against Ashaiman Lions in the Campaign Tournament at Tema’s Community 4 Court.

The Tournament is the curtain raiser for the upcoming Tema Community Basketball League and heads into the third week with Group C games set to be played on February 26.

Speaking exclusively to Basketballghana.com, Dzorvor, stated he will be “out for two weeks” and is hoping to be fit in time for the quarter finals as Heat qualified from Group B alongside Lions despite losing the opening matchup.

The quarterfinals take place on March 12. Heat made it through the group by beating Don Bosco Giants and Tema Community 12 without its athletic big man.

Dzorvor was named an All-Star after an excellent season last year going on to win the Slam Dunk Contest with an impressive array of dunks including a free throw line slam.
