Desert Rabbits and LIR Royals are streaking in the Global Sporting Projects (GSP) Basketball League. The pair has recorded back to back to wins in the league since its resumption this month after a lengthy break since 2016.

Rabbits beat West Siders 25-12 while LIR recorded the biggest win of the round by beating defending champions Suncity Braves 19-11. The loss was Braves first of the season.

In Week 8, both teams registered impressive wins with LIR beating Catholic University College, Ghana (CUCG) Saints 54-33 and Rabbits inking a 34-16 win over Barracks Scorpions.

Unsurprisingly, the wins have translated into a surge up the standings with Royals inching off the bottom for the first time since the opening weeks of the season. The side sits seventh in the eight team roster while Rabbits is third on the log.

Despite suffering a first loss to league leaders Braves, the side still leads the way with 16 points two ahead of second placed University of Energy and Natural Resources (UENR).
