KNUST (yellow) v UENR in last year’s quarterfinals.

KNUST battled KTU in last year’s zonal qualifiers.

Games in Zones F and G of this year’s Universities, Polytechnics and Colleges (UPAC) Basketball Championship will be played in Kumasi on March 25 at the Kumasi Technical University (KTU).

The respective zones were originally tabbed to play on different dates but the new date combines both zones just as Zones A and D was done at the University of Ghana (UG).

In Zone F, 2016 quarterfinalist University of Energy and Natural Resources (UENR) will compete for a second straight appearance against Sunyani Technical University (STU) and Catholic University College, Ghana.

Zone G has Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Ghana Technology University College-Kumasi and host KTU.

KNUST qualified last year and made it all the way to clinch bronze after beating Takoradi Technical University.

Only winners of the zones qualify to the quarterfinals which takes place in Accra next month. Reigning Champions UG and the likes of Accra Technical University, University of Cape-Coast and All Nations University College have made it through to the round.
