Ghana Technology University College (GTUC-Kumasi) and Catholic University College, Ghana (CUCG) have joined the group of teams that failed to win a game in this year’s UPAC Basketball Championship qualifiers.

GTUC lost all games in Zone G with a 4-60 loss to Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) and a 7-48 loss to host Kumasi Technical University (KTU).

CUCG followed suit in Zone F as the side lost 11-60 to University of Energy and Natural Resources (UENR) and 39-41 to Sunyani Technical University (STU).

Both teams join other winless who competed in the preliminary qualifiers of the Championship.

Blue Crest University College, Koforidua Technical University, Cape-Coast Technical University, Pentecost University College and Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA) all failed to win a game.

However, UENR and KNUST will represent Zones F and G respectively in the quarterfinals which will be played in Ghana’s capital Accra in April.

A special draw will be made to pair the qualified teams which includes reigning champions University of Ghana and record winners Accra Technical University.
