The excitement in the NBA remains at an all-time high. Last night Russell Westbrook got his 37th triple-double of the season and it was huge. At the same time the San Antonio Spurs defeated the defending champions Cleveland Cavaliers and are now 4-0 against them and the Golden State Warriors this season.

Thunder strike in Dallas

Russell Westbrook pulled off yet another monster triple-double (37 points, 13 rebounds and 10 assists) in OKC’s 92-91 win over the Dallas Mavericks. Victor Oladipo had 15 points and nine rebounds, while Taj Gibson finished with 13 points and six rebounds.

The Mavericks were led by Narlens Noel with 15 points, eight rebounds and four steals, Wesley Matthews had 15 points, four rebounds and four assists, Yogi Farrell 13 points, four rebounds and five assists, and Tunisian center Salah Mejri eight points and five rebounds.

Spurs down Cavs

The San Antonio Spurs are now on a five-game hot streak after beating the Cleveland Cavaliers 103-74. Kawhi Leonard had 25 points, six rebounds and six assists, LaMarcus Aldridge had 14 points, seven rebounds and four assists, and Pau Gasol ended the game with 14 points and four rebounds.

LeBron James had 17 points, eight rebounds and eight assists for Cleveland, Tristan Thompson 11 points and seven rebounds, and Kevin Love nine points and seven rebounds.

Kings tame Grizzlies

The Memphis Grizzlies are on a four-game skid and lost to the Sacramento Kings 90-91. Darren Collison had 23 points, four rebounds and seven assists, Buddy Hield 14 points and four rebounds, while Willie Cauley-Stein 12 points and nine rebounds.

Mike Conley had 22 points and nine assists for Memphis, Zach Randolph a 17-point, 15-rebound double-double, and Brandon Write ended with 11 points.

Knicks break Pistons

Kristaps Porzingis’ 25 points and eight rebounds helped the New York Knicks beat the Detroit Pistons 109-95. Derrick Rose had 27 points, four rebounds and six assists, and Carmelo Anthony ended the game with 21 points and five assists.

Detroit were led by Marcus Morris with 20 points, Ish Smith had 15 points, six rebounds and five assists, and Andre Drummond finished with a 10-point, 15-rebound double-double.

Raptors vanquish Magic

The Toronto Raptors defeated the Orlando Magic 131-112. DeMar DeRozan had 36 points, Jonas Valanciunas had 17 points and nine rebounds, Congolese forward Serge Ibaka had 16 points and seven rebounds, while Cory Joseph had a 15-point, 13-assist double-double.

Elfrid Payton led Orlando with 22 points and nine rebounds, Algerian-French guard Evan Fournier had 20 points, Terrence Ross had 17 points and four steals, while Congolese center Bismack Biyombo ended the game with five points and five rebounds.

Jazz blow past Pelicans

The Jazz defeated the New Orleans Pelicans 108-100 in Utah. Rudy Gobert had a 20-point, 19-rebound double-double, Rodney Hood 20 points and six rebounds, and Joe Ingles 19 points, four rebounds and four assists.

Anthony Davis had his third straight game with at least 30 points and 15 rebounds (36 points and 17 rebounds), Jrue Holiday 19 points and five assists while Jordan Crawford finished with 14 points.
