The West African nation qualified for the upcoming AfroBasket Championship by winning all games in Zone 3 topping Burkina Faso and Benin in the process. This year’s AfroBasket takes place in Brazzaville, Congo between August 19-30 with 16 teams set to compete for the chance to end Nigeria’s reign as African Champions.
Enan, who enjoyed time in Ghana before becoming a star player for Kwara Falcons in the DSTV Nigerian Premier Basketball League, is delighted with the qualification but has ambitions of playing for the Elephants.
“But I am preparing harder physically and mentally to be ready for the upcoming national camp in order to prepare for the Afrobasket. A lot of players from Europe and other continent will be there as well during the Camp. So I will do my best to be among the Final players selected to represent the Country” he said.
In his first year in Nigeria, Enan was a Most Valuable Male Player of the Year nominee.
