KNUST in in action against University of Energy and Natural Resources (UENR) at the 2016 UPAC.
UENR Point Guard Robert Brew was named MVP in the zonal qualifiers last year.
UENR beat Catholic University (blue) to qualify.
The University of Energy and Natural Resources (UENR) will know its quarterfinal opponents in this year’s UPAC Basketball Championship on Sunday April 2 on basketball television show “Courtside” on Ghana channel Kwese Free Sports.

The program which airs between 14:00 and 16:00 GMT will host the live ballot for the eight qualified teams in the competition. For Zone F winner UENR, the quarterfinals and subsequent knockout games will be daunting tasks for the Sunyani-based to surmount.

However, the tertiary side is putting itself in the right shape to compete by playing in the GSP Basketball League.

UENR sits second in the standings and has a big matchup against defending champions and league leaders Suncity Braves on April 1 at the Eusbett Hotel Court in Sunyani.

The tie is crucial for UENR ahead of the UPAC games which take place on April 7 and April 8 at the University of Ghana (UG). The side competed at this stage last year but failed to make it to the semifinals.
