Record winners of the Universities, Polytechnics and Colleges (UPAC) Basketball Championship Accra Technical University (ATU) will be in action against Marshalls University College in the semifinals at the University of Ghana (UG) in a few minutes.

Host and reigning champions UG will take on University of Energy and Natural Resources (UENR) in the second semifinal matchup. Both games will be played simultaneously.

ATU head into the crunch matchup against the reigning Private Universities Sports Associations Games (PUSAG) Basketball Champions Marshalls University, with three straight wins in the quarterfinals/ ATU topped Group B ahead of UENR.

Marshalls on the other hand sweated out 52-51 and 46-42 wins over University of Cape-Coast (UCC) and Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST).

Host UG’s winning run in the competition that dates back to last year’s triumphant campaign will be tested by the surging UENR side who came to the party just in time to save its campaign.

UENR pulled off a needed win over All Nations to book a spot in the semis.
