Reigning PUSAG Champions Marshalls University College has topped Accra Technical University (ATU) to make the final game of the Universities, Polytechnics and Colleges (UPAC) Basketball Championship.

Marshalls beat ATU 41-39 in a highly entertaining semifinal game that had everything to thrill the thousands the filled the University of Ghana (UG) Central Court.

Marshalls started out slowly trailing 8-21 at the end of the first half but battled hard to even the tie on an Anthony Adade three point shot before David Asingar gave Marshalls the lead spinning round his defender before laying the ball in.

Irrepressible Power Forward Evans Anfom chipped in with key baskets and baskets in the game turning second half. Despite Marshalls ascent, ATU failed to go away as Taufick Mohammed drilled a three point shot to level the score at 36.

Marshalls Shooting Guard David Okoe Laryea missed two free throws with his side trailing by three points. However, he redeemed himself with a clutch three point shot to tie the score at 39.

Adade scored a jump shot just close to the top of the key to give Marshalls the go ahead lead.

The PUSAG Champions play defending UPAC Champions University of Ghana in the final game while two time winners Accra Technical University plays University of Energy and Natural Resources (UENR) for bronze.
