Braves (yellow) in action against Galaxy.
Galaxy (white) beat Braves Female Side.

Galaxy (white) beat Braves in the opening round.
Tudu Galaxy has completed a double over Braves of Customs in the Accra Basketball League (ABL) Women’s Division by beating the latter 24-22 at the Lebanon House Court in Tudu.

The home side notched the important win that takes it to the top of the division’s standings following league leader Ghana Navy’s failure to honor its game against University of Ghana (UG).

Heading into the tie, Galaxy was second in the standings but tied on points (7) with Navy.

Thanks to the team’s second win over the defending champions this season, Galaxy will move up to first place. In the first matchup, Galaxy beat Braves with the same margin courtesy a 31-29 win.

The loss is Braves third this season in five games played which is an underwhelming turn of events considering the side won all games last season.

The second game of the round between Ghana Navy and University of Ghana (UG) did not come off due to rains. The tie has subsequently been postponed to a yet to be named date.
