Tema Heat has won its third straight game of the Tema Community Basketball League thanks to a 40-36 win over host Community 4 in the final game of the latest round of fixtures.

Heat led comfortably thanks to a 21-11 first half lead with Kingsley Quist and Forward Fred Yeboah converting three point shots along the way.

Community 4 started the third quarter on a seven point run that reduced the deficit to three (20-23) but Heat recovered in time to finish the quarter leading 31-25. Gershon Dzorvor combined well with Yeboah to score inside the post for one of the highlight plays in the game.

However, C4 profited from Heat’s turnovers to take a 33-31 lead with Point Aninagyei Osei in the thick of affairs before Yeboah got Heat back in the lead with a three point shot from the top of the arc.

Moro Abdul Karim converted two shots from the beyond the three point line to clinch the win for Heat.

Ghana Navy easily rolled over Don Bosco Giants with a 38-17 win to complete matters in Group B; the win is Navy’s second in two games played thus far in the campaign.

In the other games played, Ashaiman Lions got past Community 5 with a 46-33 win in the only Group A game that was honored.

Korle-Bu Kings failed to show for its game against Ghana Police resulting in a walkover win for Police.
