Boye is now with Tema Youth.

Fire Service Joseph Boye goes up for layup against Navy last season.
Per reports gathered by Basketballghana.com, Tema Youth Center Joseph Boye will reportedly miss the second round of the Accra Basketball League (ABL) Men’s Division I season.

The highly rated versatile player is yet to fully recover from a serious knee injury that has prevented him from taking to the court in the ongoing campaign.

With the first half of the season completed and the division on a break, there was optimism Boye could make a return to aid Tema’s title hunt when the playoff comes around in June.

However, information emanating from his camp suggest that possibility cannot be reached for the season.

Despite the loss, Tema has fared well in the league placing second at the end of the first round behind defending champions Braves of Customs. Braves lead Tema due to a superior goal difference.

It is a sad turn of events for Boye after transferring from Fire Service to Tema ahead of the season.

In the Tema Community Basketball League, Boye’s absence means reigning champions Nungua Coldstore will be without his services.
