Fire in action
Fire Service takes on Ghana Navy later today when the Accra Basketball League (ABL) Women’s Division comes alive at the Lebanon House Court in Tudu.

The game is the first of two scheduled for the round with defending champions Braves of Customs scheduled for a tie against University of Ghana (UG).

Aside the obvious importance to win and improve its record for the season, Fire should be on the lookout for could be its first winning run in two years.

The team registered just a win last season and has doubled that tally in the ongoing campaign. However, those wins both against UG, were rounds apart with either win coming in opposite halves of the season.

Following the 42-31 win over UG in the previous round, Fire has the chance to register back to back wins for the first time over the course of two seasons.

Facing a Navy side that is in the hunt for a title is sure not to be easy; Navy lost 19-28 to league leaders Tudu Galaxy.
