Coach Alexander Tindani speaking to Navy’s Female side during a timeout.

Fire Service (red) beat University of Ghana 36-32.
Ghana Navy will be hoping to get back into winning shape following a 19-28 loss to Tudu Galaxy in the previous round as the side takes on Fire Service in the latest round of games in the Accra Basketball League (ABL) Women’s Division.

Defending champions Braves of Customs then take the Lebanon House Court to play University of Ghana (UG) in the last game of the round.

Losing to Galaxy cost Navy a huge opportunity to close the lead on the division leaders and firmly thrust itself in the title race.

However, that loss means Navy has to beat Fire to have any chance of lifting the trophy and dethroning security service rival Braves in the process.

That could prove tricky against what should be an invigorated Fire team that won its second game of the season following a 42-31 win over UG.

The tertiary side has an uphill task to get past Braves despite the reigning champs relative abysmal form this season.

In the last campaign, Braves won all games to lift the trophy but the side has already lost twice this season.
