The start of the second round of the Accra Basketball League (ABL) Men’s Division I will have some new additions including the introduction of the 24 second shot clock and moving start times to 18:00 GMT.

Those changes aside, the league will have veteran players compete in a special competition alongside games in the Men’s Division I.

At the time of writing, three teams have been registered to play in the competition which will have several former players in action.

After 7, CYO and Tema Basketball Clubs are the teams registered to compete in games which start May 31 with CYO playing against After 7 in the opening game.

Playing in the league also affords former players the chance to bond more with the current generation, share ideas to develop the game in the country.

Games in the Men’s Division I however, start on Friday May 19 with two games as Ghana Navy plays Braves of Customs and Tema Youth takes on DC Dynamics.
