Fire Guard Carlyn Adjei attempts pass against Navy.

Galaxy (white) beat Braves in the opening round.
The Accra Basketball League (ABL) Women’s Division 2017 season is heading to an end but an exciting round of games are set to be played on Wednesday May 18 at the Lebanon House Court.

Ghana Navy takes on defending champions Braves of Customs in the opening game slated to tipoff at 17:00 GMT with in form Fire Service set to play division leader Tudu Galaxy after.

Braves matchup with Navy is crucial to the title ambitions of both teams as a loss for either will all but rule the side from the league’s trophy chase.

Braves sits third in the standings while Navy falls a spot behind in fourth but having played a game fewer than Galaxy, capitalizing on such opportunities is the sure way to ensure a spot in the title race.

However, Galaxy can all but seal its title win should it beat Fire Service currently riding a two game winning streak.

The second round of the season has seen Fire best its record from last season with two more wins including a fascinating 53-51 win over Navy in the previous round.
