Navy players go up for rebound against Fire.

Ghana Navy opens the latest round of games in the Accra Basketball League (ABL) Women’s Division in a tough matchup against Braves of Customs.

The game is scheduled to take place at 17:00 GMT at the Lebanon House Court in Tudu before home side Tudu Galaxy plays Fire Service in the final game of the round.

Having lost two straight games including a 19-28 loss to Galaxy heading into the game, Navy’s strong season has faltered in recent weeks and faces the defending champions in a must win game for either side.

Braves need to beat Navy to have a chance of catching up to league leader Galaxy while Navy needs a win to stop the losing run and revitalize its fading title campaign.

Navy had a chance to stay in the three title team race with Braves and Galaxy but a shock 51-53 loss to Fire Service in the previous round further complicated matters for the mariners’ season.

Braves and Navy have played a game fewer than Galaxy heading into the fixture.
