Magic’ s Evans Anfom pushes the ball in transition.
Ahead of the start of the Accra Basketball League (ABL) Men’s Division I second round on May 19, league outfit Tudu Magic is gearing up for the crucial half of the season.

The side engaged Prisons of Reformers in a friendly game at the Prisons Court in Cantonments which resulted in a 63-71 loss to the home side.

Trailing 26-45 to Prisons in the first half, Magic gave a better account of themselves in the second as the side reduced the deficit to seven with five minutes left to play in the game.

The team’s collection of top three point shooters including Gabriel Numarworse and Elvis Pobi-Siaw came through with a flurry of three point shots.

However, the side’s loss of Forward Tsatsu Sakpaku after he fouled out robbed Magic of size to compete with Prisons fleet of big men.

The team lies fourth in the standings with three wins from six games while Reformers is set to compete in the Division II later in the year.
