The Accra Basketball League (ABL) Men’s Division I second round tips off later today with two matchups involving the top two sides in the division facing the lowest sides at the Lebanon House Court.

Defending champion and second ranked side in this season’s championship Braves of Customs, take on bottom ranked Ghana Navy in the opening game which tips off at 18:00 GMT.

The second game features division leaders Tema Youth in action against sixth ranked DC Dynamics in the following game.

Tema leads the league thanks to a superior aggregate lead over Braves whom they beat 84-78 in the first round; Braves and Tema are tied on 11 points.

However, for Navy and Dynamics, who spot six and seven points respectively after the first round, the opening round comes with more pressure to win to avoid dropping down to Division II.

An interesting feature of the games, is the use of a 24 second shot clock for the first time this season.
