Tudu Galaxy has maintained its tight grip on first position in the Accra Basketball League (ABL) Women’s Division following a closely fought 27-26 win over Fire Service in the last round of games played at the Lebanon House Court.

As a result, Galaxy has 14 points from six wins in eight games this season and is well and truly a front runner for the Division title.

Strong rival Braves of Customs sits in second place three points behind Galaxy but has a game in hand against University of Ghana (UG).

The tertiary side ranks bottom of the five team roster with three wins from six games played this season and a win over Braves who look beatable this season will push them ahead of fourth placed Ghana Navy.

UG has played two games fewer than league leaders Galaxy.

Fire Service is in third place with 11 points but is likely to drop should results in other games not go in their favor.
