Heat’s Yeboah brings ball up court against Navy.
Ghana Navy.
Ghana Navy is not faring well in the Accra Basketball League (ABL) but has been enjoying play in the Tema Community Basketball League with the side heading into the latest round of games on a three game winning run.

Navy beat Tema Heat in the last round of games played at the Tema Community 4 Court to extend its wins for the season to four in four games while ending Heat’s winning streak in the process.

In what turned out to be a more physical game than expected, Navy grabbed the crucial win thanks to a 29-27 result after coming strong from behind.
The opening exchanges were impressive as Fred Yeboah opened the game with a three point shot and was quickly followed by Navy Guard Nana Tuffour going coast to coast for a layup after grabbing a defensive rebound.

The quarter ended with a brilliant up and down layup from Heat Point Guard Kingsley Quist to tie the game at 10. Yeboah continue to fire away from the arc to give side a 19-15 second quarter lead but Navy’s Richard Tetteh’s shot from the arc in the third quarter meant Navy trailed by two heading to the last quarter.

Converting from the free throw, Navy grabbed the game’s lead to seal the win late in the fourth quarter.
