Brimah blocks shot as Ernest Aflakpui looks on.

Under the guise of two time NBA Champion and 2011 Sixth Man of the Year Los Angeles Lakers Forward Lamar Odom, Ghana and University of Connecticut Center Amida Brimah has impressed in a pre-draft workout with the team.

The 6 foot 11 inch Center worked out with five prospects aiming for a shot at the NBA next month; the Lakers have two first round picks in this year’s draft which comes off on June 22 at the Barclays Center in New York.

Renowned for his shot blocking skills (blocked 80 shots in 33 games), Brimah flexed his high potential on the offensive side drilling a combination of jump shots and three point shots and miss just two from 11 shots.

Brimah, who stated his ability to be a good offensive player in a recent workout with Utah Jazz, backed his words with a good showing for the Purple and Gold club.

The Lakers pick at Numbers 2 and 28; while Number 2 is likely to be taken by Lonzo Ball, the late first round pick is up for grabs.

Should he be drafted, Brimah will become the second Ghana-born player to be drafted into the NBA.
