Rifles (black) against Junior Reformers.
Akatsi Rifles is on track to face Panthers in the latest round of fixtures in the 2017 Accra Basketball League (ABL) Men’s Division II season.

The fixtures scheduled for tonight at the Lebanon House Court in Tudu has the Akatsi side taking on the former Division I outfit in the opening game at 17:00 GMT.

Ghana Police plays Novas Academy in the final game of the round immediately after the first game concludes with Police widely tipped for the game’s win.

However, Rifles are in dire need of a win following a poor start to this year’s campaign; the team has lost both games played in the opening exchanges this season.

Rifles lost heavily to Junior Reformers of Prisons 53-93 before losing to the Reformers Senior side days later despite brilliant individual performances from the likes of Opel Ayawubo and Makafui Agudzumegah.

Panthers on the other hand, are trying to retrace their steps to the elite division after falling out in 2015; the team lost its opening tie but recovered to win the next game.

Per reports reaching Baskteballghana.com, experienced Guard Jake Morrison is likely to feature for the team tonight.
