Enan in action for Ivory Coast.

Former Braves of Customs Center Romeo Wilfred Enan has made his debut in the 2017 African Nations Championship (AfroBasket) with Ivory Coast.

The 6 foot 10 inch defender played 19 minutes in his country’s 77-78 loss to defending champions Nigeria in the opening round of the tournament which began on Friday September 8.

This year’s tournament is being held in Tunisia and Senegal; this is the first time the competition is being co hosted.

Enan, who plays for Nigerian side Kwara Falcons, registered eight points, five rebounds and an assist in his time on the court.

He was efficient in the game converting two free throw attempts going 3 for 5 in field goals overall as the Ivorians narrowly missed out on a shock win.

Nigeria Captain and a member of the 2015 winning group paced scorers in the game with 31 points and eight rebounds.

Nigeria takes on Mali later today at 20:30 GMT and Ivory Coast play Democratic Republic of Congo at 15:30 GMT today.
