Nungua Coldstore continues to blaze the trail in Group A of the 2017 Tema Basketball League following a tough win over nearest rival Ghana Police in the last round.

The defending champions beat Police 47-39 over the weekend to maintain its grip on the group’s lead; a win for Police would have given the team a chance to usurp Nungua since the team has one more game to play before the regular season ends.

Police takes on third place Ashaiman Lions in the upcoming round for what is essentially a straight fight for second place.

Despite failing to shot up for a couple of games this season, Junior Reformers have booked their place in the postseason with its fourth position.

Ghana Navy’s 59-26 win over Don Bosco Giants was the sole game played in Group B in the last round but the team falls behind leaders Tema Community 4, Community 2 and Tema Heat.

C4 and C2 were big winners the last they played against Navy and Ashaiman Warriors respectively; C4 won 40-34 and C2 won 73-19.

All four have qualified for the playoffs which is due to commence next month per reports gathered by Basketballghana.com. Full details of the standings are highlighted below:
