Ghana Police is responsible for ending Junior Rangers winning start to the 2017 Accra Basketball League (ABL) Men’s Division II season after Police beat Rangers in midweek.

Rangers lost 69-79 in the opening game of the round honored at the Lebanon House Court in Tudu; the team ended up losing more than that, it lost its unbeaten run in the competition.

Prior to the Police meet, Junior Rangers had won all two fixtures played in the ongoing campaign thanks to win over the likes of Spartans.

However, one of the brightest starters this season came unstuck against the experienced Police side who played the game with a three game unbeaten run.

The team’s latest win stretches Police winning run in the competition to four and is likely to keep the side at the summit of the standings at the end of the round of games.

Another experienced side-Panthers-clinched its third win of the season courtesy a 67-63 win over Tudu Galaxy immediately after the Rangers-Police tie.

After suffering an opening day loss, Panthers have recovered well to register three straight wins.
