The final four teams in this year’s African Nations Championship (AfroBasket) will be involved in regional derbies to decided which teams make it to the final game of the competition.

Senegal, Tunisia, Nigeria and Morocco have made it to the semis after beating Angola, Democratic Republic of Congo, Cameroon and Egypt in the quarter finals.

Co-Host Senegal will be up against defending champions Nigeria in all west African matchup in the second semifinal game after Host Tunisia plays Morocco in the opening game at 18:00 GMT in an all North African derby.

Tonight’s game represents the second straight North African derby Morocco will be involved in just over 24 hours following its 66-62 win over Egypt in the opening quarter final game.

Morocco has been the surprise team in the competition after beating record winners Angola 60-53 to top Group B before slipping past fellow North African side Egypt.

After placing fourth and third respectively at the last continental games in 2015, Senegal and Tunisia will be hoping to go a step higher this year.

Defending champs Nigeria’s second consecutive title is on track after beating neighbors Cameroon 106-91 in the quarter final.
