This year’s edition of Peace Bounce-an innovative basketball program geared towards spreading basketball preaching peace through secondary and tertiary educational institutions in Ghana- is set to take place on September 30.

The program, run by National Youth Basketball Conference, is slated to be held in Ghana’s Eastern Region capital, Koforidua with the town’s Technical University tipped to host for the second straight year.

Last year’s event was held prior to Ghana’s Presidential and Parliamentary Elections.

In the 2016 edition, tertiary institutions including host Koforidua Technical University, All Nations University and Valley View University participating.

Community based teams played key roles in the tournament by competing with Rough Court emerging champions in the 2016 edition.

News reaching Basketballghana.com indicate this year’s version of the tournament will include institutions at the high school level.

Pope John Senior High School, Suhum Senior High and Technical School, Ofori Panin Senior High School, Okuapeman Senior High School, Koforidua Senior High and Technical School among others are reportedly on the books for the end of September event.

Organizers expect to organize basketball clinics and coaching sessions ahead and during the event.
