The top leading trio in the 2017 Accra Basketball League (ABL) Men’s Division II will qualify to play in the Division I next season.

Per information gathered by Basketballghana.com from the league board, the top three teams in the ongoing campaign will make it to the elite division.

13 teams are about rounding up competition in this season’s Division II campaign with a host of teams already done with over eight games; each team is expected to play 12 games before the season ends.

With little over three weeks remaining on the calendar, Reformers of Prisons, Ghana Police and Panthers occupy the top spots in the standings.

All three teams have featured in the Division I in prior seasons with Prisons featuring in last season’s top tier competition only to be relegated on administrative grounds despite playing in the 2016 playoffs.

Police got knocked out of Division I under similar circumstances while Panthers failed to impress in the division a couple of years back to drop below.

Reformers lead the standings with 19 points, two ahead of Police with two games remaining for the former to play.
