Aspirants (black) beat Galaxy in a big way.
DCD Aspirants have won its penultimate game after beating Spartans 43-36 in the Accra Basketball League (ABL) Men’s Division II.

The fixture was the opening game of the latest round of the campaign and ended with DCD walking away with maximum points after clinching the seven point win.

The win is the team’s second of the season and comes in the team’s 11th game this campaign; the team plays Ghana Police next.

Playing against Police will be Aspirants final outing this season and after grabbing only its second win, the team will be hoping for a trio of wins to end the campaign on a high note.

According to Aspirants Coach Feranmi Olulonyo, that is the team’s objective ahead of the big game against the second best team in the division.

The tie against Police marks the DCD’s final chapter in the division and regardless of the result, Aspirants will miss out on qualifying to the elite division.

Three teams will qualify to ABL’s Division I next season and the positions are held by Reformers of Prisons, Police and Panthers.
