OWASS in action against TI AMASS (red)

Main rival of reigning Sprite Ball Champions Opoku Ware School, Prempeh College have booked their way to another final appearance at the Ashanti Regional qualifiers of the competition.

The team beat Kumasi Anglican Senior High School 25-15 in the first semifinal game in the ongoing fleet of games to decide which teams qualify to play in Ghana’s capital, Accra for the main championship.

The team in green and yellow clinched the opening half courtesy a 9-4 win over the Anglican side that looked timid out of the blocks which played into the hands of the Amafo) boys.

Anglican played with more zeal and belief in the second half and took the game to their more successful opponent.

Prempeh players looked fluxed many times in the second half and needed a late rally to get past Anglican and register another regional final in the school’s extensive history in the competition.

Should national champions Opoku Ware beat T.I. Ahmadiyya Senior High School in the second semifinal game, last year’s regional final lineup will be repeated.
