Reformers (green) topped Panthers
2017 Accra Basketball League (ABL) Men’s Division II outfit Junior Reformers have banished the ignominious tag of losing a game against three players by reversing the cycle against Panthers in the last round of games played at the Lebanon House Court in Tudu.

Reformers piped highly fancied Panthers 67-66 in overtime with three players on the court as Emmanuel Odamtten sank one of two free throws to give his side the win.

The win is a welcome relief for the side who have had to live with the bad tag since losing to Tema Youth who ended the game with three players in 2016’s Division II campaign.

But that tag has been removed after Reformers battled hard to clinch its fifth win in 11 games for the season despite losing Point Guard Godwin Tetteh and Power Forward Jeffrey Abakisi after both players fouled out of the game.

Tetteh missed the final minutes in regular time and Abakisi fouled out in overtime with less than two minutes left to play.

Reformers win also ended Panthers chances of progressing to Division I.
