Bentil played majority of last season for For Fort Wayne Mad Ants in the NBA’s G-League.

Ghanaian Forward Ben Bentil was in action for French side Champagne Chalons-Reims as the team lost 69-96 to Le Portel.

The heavy loss is the team’s third straight loss after losing to AS Monaco and ASVEL Lyon in previous matchups.

As a result, Reims has tumbled to 12th place in the 18 team division with four wins in nine games after starting the season on a strong note with four wins in six games.

The former Providence College standout scored 10 points with two rebounds and three assists in 19 minutes.

In his time on the court, Bentil converted four of seven field goal attempts and both free throw attempts respectively but was scoreless in two attempts from three point range.

A trio of Reims players registered 11 points including Martin Hermannsson and Romain Duport in the losing effort as Portel run over the Northern French side.

Le Portel’s big win takes them to eighth in the standings-four spots ahead of Reims- with five wins in nine games for the season.
