Police got an unsurprising win over Reformers (Green).
Ghana Police have clinched the 2017 Accra Basketball League (ABL) Men’s Division II title after topping DCD Aspirants.

Police beat Aspirants 67-34 at the Lebanon House Court in Tudu in the final game of the campaign to end the season on top.

The win is Police’s eleventh in 12 games which puts the team ahead of Reformers of Prisons in the standings with 23 points.

Both teams end the campaign with the same record but Police edged close rival Prisons on goal difference and an advantage in the head to head matchup after clinching a win when the pair clashed early in the season.

By securing two of the top three spots in the division, Police and Prisons have secured returns to Division I basketball next season.

Police and Prisons were relegated from the elite division under administrative circumstances in 2015 and 2016 respectively.

Prisons topped Tudu Galaxy 66-43 on the night to ensure the team ends the season on a high note but missed on the division title following Police’s win in the opening game.
